With the development of modern science and technology, automation equipment is more and more widely used in our lives, and the most core part of automation equipment is the robot, then the robot is driven by what mechanism? What are the driving institutions?

There are four main driving mechanisms used by the manipulator: hydraulic drive, pneumatic drive, electrical drive and mechanical drive.

1. Hydraulic drive

The hydraulic drive manipulator is usually composed of hydraulic motor, servo valve, oil pump, oil tank and other driving system, which is carried out by the actuator of the driving manipulator and has strong snatch ability.

2. Pneumatic drive

Pneumatic drive mechanism by the cylinder, air valve, air tank and air compressor unit, because it is driven by gas, all the advantages are convenient air source, simple structure, easy maintenance, the disadvantage is that the speed is difficult to control, the air pressure can not be too high, low snatch force

3. Electric drive

Electrical drive is mainly driven by the motor, its drive motor is mainly with stepper motor, DC servo motor, but because of the high speed of the motor, usually need to use deceleration mechanism.

4. Mechanical drive

Mechanical drive is generally applied to a relatively single, fixed station, mainly using the CAM linkage mechanism applied to the automotive engine to achieve the action of the manipulator.
