Jiangsu Tianqi Star robot introduction: Which five axes is the five-axis manipulator?

A five-axis manipulator is a mechanical arm with five rotating axes. Each axis of rotation can move independently, allowing the manipulator to achieve more complex movements and attitudes in three-dimensional space.

The following is a detailed introduction to the five axes of the five-axis manipulator:

 (1) base Rotation Axis: The base rotation axis is located at the base of the manipulator, which allows the whole manipulator to rotate in a horizontal plane. The rotation range of the base rotation axis is usually 360 degrees, allowing the manipulator to adjust its position in the horizontal direction.

 (2) Shoulder Rotation Axis: The waist rotation axis connects the base and the arm so that the arm can rotate around the axis perpendicular to the rotation axis of the base. The movement range of the waist rotating shaft is usually 180 degrees, which can control the up and down movement of the manipulator.

 (3) Elbow Rotation Axis: The elbow rotation axis connects the waist and forearm, allowing the forearm to rotate around the axis perpendicular to the waist rotation axis. The range of motion of the elbow rotation shaft is usually 180 degrees, which controls the bending and straightening of the forearm of the manipulator.

 (4) Wrist Pitch Axis: The wrist pitch axis connects the elbow and the wrist part so that the wrist can rotate around the axis perpendicular to the rotation axis of the elbow. The wrist tilt axis, which typically has a range of motion of 180 degrees, enables the manipulator to tilt the wrist while the forearm is bent.

 (5) Wrist Rotation Axis: The wrist rotation axis connects the wrist to the end actuator of the manipulator, which enables the manipulator to rotate on an axis perpendicular to the tilt axis of the wrist. The range of motion of the wrist rotation axis is usually 360 degrees, which enables the end actuator of the manipulator to rotate in the plane, thus adjusting the direction of the object to grasp.

Through the combined movement of these five rotating axes, the five-axis manipulator is able to flexibly manipulate and position objects. It can carry out complex attitude adjustment in three-dimensional space to achieve high-precision grasping, handling and placing tasks. Five-axis manipulators are widely used in industrial production lines, assembly operations, automated processing and other areas that require precise control.
